When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

A Photoshop Tutorial on how to CG/Color your artwork.
Quite a bit wordy and scrunched together some. Hopefully its not confusing. I would appriciate ALL comments on how good or bad this is. that way i can make a better one later. I plan on making more tutorials in the future. Artwork is done by me. Both Characters are © ~Golden-Anubis Comments
This tutorial is great :3 I hope it will help me improve *.* Really...my ability at Photoshop is laughable
On a side note...how do you manage such beautiful lineart? I would really like to learn how to do it... A few tips would do, or if you're planning to make another tutorial...well I would request lineart... -- Catch my heart! Very Melon~ (Very Melon~) Catch my heart! Very Melon~ (Very Melon~) -- Chichi chichi oppai! Boing boing! (Boing boing!) Moge, moge, moge, moge! Chichi wo moge! -- Kojinki no Gash Bell (aka: Zatch Bell) = XD you know, i cannot do lineart, either! i just draw my picture then retrace it on another paper nicely by either tracing paper or using a light box. (i don't like tracing paper so i rarely use it) then i just scan it in, adjust the brightness and contrast so that the black is fully black without it looking sharp. thats it. every now and then i go full out and use the pen tool...but that thing you really need practice for and its a major pain....so i stopped doing that. XD i don't know how to draw using a drawing wacom tablet.....eheheh, stillll working on that. i can barely write using a tablet.
just retrace your picture very nicely without smudgng it and scan at 300dpi and adjust the brightness and contrast! easy! -- this is realy helpful for me, especally with the hair shadow and the line art
its hard to find any totorals for a photoshop that my computer dosn't have issues with -- Commission info-[link] I never really ink my line art. its all in plain pencil! and my drawings arn't much bigger then the size of a manga. occasionally i do manage to draw something big...like 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide....but i do tend to draw kinda medium to small sized. when i scan it tho it turns out big. i don't use pen for my lineart because i mess up EVERYTIME! my hand shakes slightly and the paper i use is pretty cheap...its literally crap paper. (NEVER BUY RECYCLED PAPER!!!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER!!!! it'll piss you off) if i do use pen i don't retrace it on a new paper... i just ink it directly on the drawing, then erase the pencil marks. I don't use anything special...just a regular 0.5 mechanical pencil and plastic eraser. getting a light box can indeed be very helpful when retracing pictures to prepare for cg. only problem is that it is bulky. there are flat light boxes but i'm sure they cost ALOT. if you can't afford a lightbox, tracing paper works just as well...just don't use any kind of ink on it because the ink doesn't dry immediatly... it takes a few seconds which is long enough for your finger to accidently smear over it. i would suggest learning to draw big, tho. less mistakes should you mess up.
